Spring cleaning 101

It’s  time for spring cleaning,  Not only does food and medications expire so does beauty products.  Just in time for the spring cleaning season –If you haven’t done so.  It’s time to begin labeling try  Brother P-Touch Label Maker by Brother, to help you remember  WHAT TO TOSS and WHEN.


Toothbrush (3 months )Studies show that after three months of regular use, toothbrushes become much less effective at removing plaque from teeth and gums.




Lipstick (2 years) Lipstick becomes dry, lip gloss becomes extra sticky, and they both breed bacteria you don’t want on your mouth.

Nail polish (12 months) Say goodbye to endlessly opening bottles in search of nail polish that hasn’t gone all goopy






Mascara (3 months) After 90 days, mascara becomes at risk of breeding bacteria that can cause eye infections.




Products with SPF actually expire. Check yours for an expiration date, or make sure to label it next time.






Moisturizers whose ingredients have separated should be trashed post haste. Same of soaps and shampoos. In fact if anything contains parabens, sulfates or other harmful chemicals, discard it immediately.







Any clothing you haven’t worn in 12 months donate, the same goes for duplicates nix it or donate.
