MICHELLE HENLEY

Michelle Henley, is founder and President of FashionEdits. She oversees all aspects of the website’s featured informational articles on trade shows, designer interviews, the latest retail buzz, and trend forecasts. Ms. Henley received a Bachelor of Science from the Fashion Institute of Technology, after which she secured a sales representative position at Cherokee clothing. Thereafter, she gained invaluable experience working for a number of industry legends and gained invaluable sales sector experience as sales manager for a number of fashion companies. She gained important experience in international markets, principally in Europe and South America, as the owner of 4-M, an import/export company that specialized in denim, before partnering in a multiline showroom representing established and up-and-coming fashion designers and highly sought-after retailers She also worked as an independent sales executive for Love Quotes, a renowned scarf and shawl company, focusing on special markets, before devoting her full resources to FashionEdits.

MAUREEN DIBELLA

Maureen DiBella, Business Development Manager of Fashion Edits has over 20 years of experience in helping businesses grow. Maureen received an Associate in Applied Science degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology where she held the position of President of The Merchandising Society. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Hofstra University.

Maureen started sewing when she was 4 years old and proudly made many of her own clothes including her prom gown and first interview suit. Maureen’s vast knowledge of the Fashion industry has helped her successfully launch emerging designers as well as merchandise for Calvin Klein and Michael Kors. During fashion week, you can find Maureen assisting backstage at fashion shows.

Her professional sales career began with Colgate Palmolive in their Health and Beauty Aids division and she is a proud member of the Colgate Hall of Fame for sales excellence. She owns her own business, Professional Telemarketing Services, a high level business development company. Her effective communication and follow through skills have helped over 100 businesses grow…one call at a time.

CANDY WASHINGTON

Actress and fashion journalist Candy Washington began her fashion career in the public relations department at Louis Vuitton and the editorial department of Elle Magazine as a bright-eyed intern. She quickly learned the ropes and graduated to a freelance fashion journalist position for famed publications like Cliché Magazine, RunwayToRetail, and Factio Magazine. While running between fashion shows, designer interviews, store openings and after parties, Candy was busy filming numerous independent films, her most recent, The Prison, comes out Fall of 2012.

Candy currently is a fashion journalist for FashionEdits, an interactive fashion industry networking service devoted solely to connecting retailers with vendors on a real time basis, and is a freelance associate of corporate marketing at Landor Associates, a strategic branding and design firm.

Candy holds a BA in Philosophy and Government from Georgetown University and graduated with honors from New York’s School of Film and Television.

ALEXIS LEHTONEN

It is a good indicator that any little girl whose favorite game is dress up will grow up to have a thing or two to say about fashion. Guilty as charged! This West Coast native can’t get enough of all things fashion – from the runway to catalogs, Alexis loves every part of this wonderfully creative industry and can’t stop writing about it.

Alexis is a freelance writer living in Los Angeles, CA where she covers such apparel tradeshows as Los Angeles Fashion Market, the entire spectrum of Las Vegas shows (MAGIC, PROJECT, ENK Vegas) and keeps an eye out for emerging trends and designers bound to make their mark on the industry.

Alexis has been a contributing editor to FashionEdits since the Spring of 2011 and is exciting to continue sleuthing out the latest finds in fashion.

ELIZABETH JAMIE

Elizabeth graduated from NYU with a degree in Politics & literature & holds an MBA in fiancé and management. Going to school in NYC allowed her to haunt 7th avenue designer show rooms, art galleries and indulge in alternative music. Later, she went onto work with the under privileged, fight for women's right in the workplace and also to travel the world practicing yoga. Elizabeth is delighted to write for Fashion Edits because it gives her an opportunity to explore fashion from both a style and financial perspective.
